We are excited to announce the Art Car Boot Fair is returning as part of Baltic’s Summer Sizzler Weekend, bringing together work by artists and makers from across the North and beyond.  

Presenting a wide range of affordable artworks, the fair is a perfect opportunity for anyone interested in art to purchase new and unique works, meet the artists and soak up the atmosphere. There’ll be music too alongside food and drink stalls.

Date and Time: Sunday 14 July 2024, 11am – 5pm 

Applicants:

Our aim is to provide artists of all disciplines and backgrounds with a platform to exhibit and sell their work in a fun and informal environment. 

Application Process:

Applications can only be made via Submittable. 

The closing date for applications is 23:59 on 19 May 2024

Successful applicants will be notified by email by 2 June 2024. 

To apply please complete the application form which includes a description of your work, including a example of items you will be selling (max 500 words). You can also submit up to 5 jpegs. 

Fees:

• £40 per pitch (1 x car parking bay) 

• Table Hire £7 (6ft trestle, no table covering provided)

• All prices are inclusive of VAT

Terms:

Invoices will be emailed out to successful applicants from 3 June 2024.

Payment must be made within 7 days of receipt of invoice to secure pitch or it will be reallocated.

All sales income is commission free and remains with the artist.

Eligibility:

This opportunity is open to all. 

We regret that we will be unable to contact artists who are not selected for the fair. We appreciate the time and effort we know goes into every application and thank you for your interest.

Key Information

• Weather permitting, the event will take place outside in our car park at the rear of Baltic. If weather conditions are poor we will move the event indoors to our large Level 1 event space.

• Full event details will be emailed to successful applicants upon selection 

• Payment facilities will remain the responsibility of the artist.

• Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel your pitch, you should email artcarboot@balticmill.com  as soon as possible. If you notify us of a cancellation by 23 June 2024 you will receive a full refund. Cancellations after this date are non-refundable.
